Jan Zeman graduated in Education from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University. He works as an education analyst at the research organization PAQ Research. His primary focus is on educational inequalities and mapping best practices in education. As part of his work, he travels to various regions, engaging in discussions with people about data, experiences, and emotions related to addressing educational underachievement. He has authored a series of studies, Responsible Statutory Authorities - Better Schools, and has long been mapping regional inequalities in access to secondary, high schools and lycées. For Aspen Institute CE, he produced a study, Managing Local Education Systems: A Description of Czech Inefficiencies, Foreign Trends and Islands of Good Practice, which also serves as the basis for a panel discussion at the Aspen Annual Conference 2024.
